Our first assignment in Freiburg: get to know the city! We broke into four groups 14-ish people to explore the different areas in town. Here’s some of the highlights from today and my group’s walk!
Freiburg is so pretty! I lose my sense of direction a lot – the streets paths and intersections are all intricate and, as a newcomer, they all look similar to me. But I love walking around here, and I can’t wait to explore the other parts of the city and get to know it better! : )
Loved their unique college town vibe — tables spilling out across sidewalks, eclectic shops brimmin’ with knick-knacks and UGA love, cheers echoing through the open doors of gathering places as Spain wins the World Cup.
I am from an incredibly small town that you probably haven’t heard of.
Cotton fields, country music, a church on every corner. And everybody knows everybody.
For seven years, I’ve been livin’ in the big city. Took a trip back to Alabama for my middle school bud’s wedding – and it was the first time I’d been around the ol’ stomping grounds for what seemed like a lifetime.
I looove the big city.
But I do miss the old dance studio, the fresh cotton, some childhood friends, those Jiffy cookies….
